The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has taken an important step in supporting agriculture by approving in the first reading ** thethree strategic draft lawsThe government has also adopted a number of laws to protect land ownership, stimulate the development of the fishing industry and adapt veterinary medicine to EU standards.
🔹 1. Draft law No. 13174 - Protecting land ownership after the devastation of war
✅ Provides for a free transfer land to the former owners destroyed buildings without land auctions.
✅ Simplifies procedures for restoring land rights for 5 years after the end of the war.
✅ Allows to change the designated purpose of a plot without urban planning documentation if the functional purpose is preserved.
🔹 2. Draft law No. 12384 - Stimulating economic development of the fisheries sector
✅ Introduces clear concepts for attracting investment in the aquaculture industry.
✅ Defines the mechanisms for leasing water bodies and land and concluding contracts.
✅ Strengthens control over the implementation of investment agreements to ensure the rational use of water resources.
🔹 3. Draft law No. 12285-d - European integration of the veterinary system
✅ Harmonisation with EU acts.
✅ Designed to ensure a stable epizootic situation.
✅ Includes animal welfare issues, which is important for both product safety and exports.

"Supporting these draft laws is an important signal to the agricultural business, especially in the South of Ukraine, where the war has left thousands of hectares of destroyed infrastructure. Returning land to farmers without unnecessary bureaucracy is a chance to restore production. А development of the fisheries industry and veterinary medicine is a direct path to food security and European markets. We hope that these initiatives will become not only laws, but also real tools for rural revival."
