I had a very special evening yesterday. Together with my daughter and my mother, we attended the pre-premiere screening of the documentary Bread Captain of Ukraine. And you know, it was not just watching a film - it was a meeting with our history, with a man who managed to change the face of the Ukrainian agricultural sector, with an example of the power of dreams and character.
The image of Oleksiy Opanasovych Vadatursky, the Hero of Ukraine, a man who proved with his life that love for the land can become the foundation of the country's economic independence, came to life on the screen. I was impressed by how carefully and sincerely the filmmakers showed his path: not only his successes, but also his struggles, losses, and his unbreakable spirit in the most difficult times.
The moment when the director showed the Vadatursky family was particularly moving, because behind every great deed is the strength of the family. In the eyes of his son Andriy, there is the same determination, the same look that once inspired people with Oleksiy Opanasovych. He continues his father's business with dignity, carrying not only the business but also a great mission - to feed Ukraine and keep its agricultural front.
When you sit in the audience next to your child, you realise how important it is to set such examples. I want him to know that the future of the country is built by people who do not betray their dreams and values. I want them to see that behind big companies there is not only technology, but real Ukrainian families who work with love for their land.
This film is a reminder to all of us that the strength of Ukraine lies in such individuals and families. When you look into your son's eyes, you realise that their faith in Ukraine is stronger than any challenge.
Leaving the cinema, I felt proud and grateful. Pride that there are such examples in our country. Gratitude that we were able to touch this story together - three generations of our family. And faith that with such people, the future of Ukraine will be strong, and our bread will always be a symbol of freedom.
Sincerely, Alla Stoyanova
