Add to favourites

On 17 September, AGRO Finance 2025 forum took place in Kyiv, a focus for farmers, investors and financial institutions.
They discussed key aspects of agricultural sector development, modern business financing instruments and new opportunities for producers across Ukraine.

🌾 Such events are especially important for Odesa region, as the region not only actively develops agriculture, but also serves as an example of how innovations and financial solutions can change production efficiency.

📌 MAIN FOCUSES OF AGRO FINANCE 2025

1️⃣ Financial solutionsworking for the farmer
The forum presented modern lending and investment tools that allow farmers not only to survive but also to scale up production, introduce innovations, enter new markets and insure war risks.

2️⃣ Small and medium-sized enterprises - in focus
This year, special attention was paid to SMEs, as they are the backbone of the agricultural economy. Support programmes help farmers access capital, develop cooperation and increase the efficiency of each hectare.

3️⃣ Climate challenges as a driver of change
AGRO Finance 2025 has shown that climate change is not an abstraction, but a reality that is already affecting the choice of crops, technologies and sowing dates. Discussions focused on the need to adapt and find sustainable solutions.

4️⃣ Irrigation - the key to the future harvest
Irrigation has become one of the hottest topics. It is not just a technology, but a guarantee of food security. We discussed real-life cases, restoration of water systems, investment potential and public-private partnership opportunities.

5️⃣ Cooperation with banks - new level
The meeting showed that financial institutions are ready to work together with farmers. In particular, Oschadbank presented its readiness to create separate financial products for the development of irrigation and modernisation of agricultural production.

6️⃣ Trust and partnership as a basis for development
The main message of the forum is that the future of the agricultural sector is only possible where there is trust between business, government and financial institutions. This interaction makes it possible to implement large-scale projects and attract investment to the regions.

🌍 Focus on global challenges
This year's forum showed that the audience is interested not only in financial models of development, but also in global strategic issues.

The key topics include climate challenges that are already changing the approach to crop rotation and, most importantly, everyone's perception of the development of land reclamation.

🎤 Speech by Alla STOYANOVA: the voice of Odesa region

Alla Stoyanova, representing Odesa region, made a thorough presentation that aroused considerable interest among the participants. She provided a detailed analysis of the current state of irrigation and outlined the most pressing problems in the region:

✔️ Kislychny sleeve
✔️ channel cleaning
✔️ Katlabug
✔️ Sasyk
✔️ dam on the Danube river
✔️ redirecting fresh water to lakes and water supply systems, instead of wasting it in the Black Sea

Ms Stoyanova not only identified the problems, but also suggested ways to solve them, emphasising the need for comprehensive state and regional support, as well as partnership with financial institutions.

Alla Stoyanova, representative of Odesa region:
"AGRO Finance 2025 is a platform where decisions important for the future of the entire Ukrainian agribusiness were born. We have clearly outlined the challenges facing our communities, and I see the sincere willingness of our partners, in particular Oschadbank, to support the farmers of Odesa region. The trust we feel from farmers is a huge responsibility, and we must justify it with concrete results."

Pavlo Fedotov, representative of Oschadbank, noted the importance of such meetings for building a dialogue between the financial sector and agribusiness:
"AGRO Finance 2025 has once again proved that development of the agricultural sector is impossible without reliable financial support. Oschadbank is ready to be a financial pillar for Ukrainian farmers. We are already working on developing special programmes to support irrigation, as we understand that this is the key to a stable harvest and food security. Alla Stoyanova's speech was one of the most relevant and interesting - she clearly outlined the problems and provided practical solutions."

✨ AGRO Finance 2025 - is a place where finance, innovation and strategic vision converge.

Ukrainian agrarians are ready to meet the challenges of the times, and financial institutions are ready to be partners in these changes. Odesa region has once again demonstrated that it is a driver of agricultural sector development, and joint steps by the government, business and banking sector are the way to a strong, successful and independent Ukraine.
