Today, Artsyz, Bolgrad district, has become the centre of attention for the entire agricultural community, as it hosted a World Agriculture Day seminar-conference "Development of the Agro-Industrial Complex of Bolgrad Region: Modern Challenges, Innovative Solutions and Partnership".

🍇Bessarabia, the land of fertile black soil and endless opportunities, has once again proved Agriculture is the heart of its economy. Bolgrad district is home to 310 enterprises and farms, including true agricultural leaders such as Burgudzhi Agrofirm, Agro-Module, Kara-Marin and dozens of others, which contribute to the region's food potential.

📈 In the last year alone, the results are impressive:

• production of grains and pulses increased by 28.2%, reaching 493 thsd tonnes;
• The average yield increased by 32.3% to 45.9 cwt/ha;
• The gross grape harvest is over 10 thousand tonnes, making Bolhradsky district the leader in Odesa region.
  But behind the numbers is a hard struggle. The war, market fluctuations, lack of staff, high fuel and fertiliser prices, and climate change are all challenges that farmers face on a daily basis.

Olha Trofimtseva, Chairman of the Board of the Assembly of Agrarian Chambers of Ukraine, President of the Ukrainian Agri-Food Platform, one of the speakers of the event, emphasised:
"A lot of effort has already been invested in developing the agricultural potential of Odesa region. I remember working with Alla Stoyanova on important European integration projects. This path has shown that only together, in partnership, we can build the future, overcome challenges and find solutions."
The forum placed a special emphasis on irrigation.

Alla Stoyanova emphasised:
"Irrigation is not a luxury, it is the only answer to climate change, which is drying up our steppe. Without systematic implementation of irrigation, Bessarabia risks losing its agricultural potential. But we have the resources, knowledge and people to turn this challenge into an opportunity and ensure the country's food security."

Oleksandr Iordanov, Deputy Head of the Bolgrad Regional State Administration, said:
"Only by combining the efforts of the government, business and communities can we achieve real change. Every contribution is important, because we are all working for the development of Odesa region."
There were also innovations in technology.

💬 Vadym Koval, HORSCH representative, presented the latest developments in the field of agricultural technology:
"Our solutions are not just machines. They are tools that help preserve moisture, increase yields and make agricultural production more sustainable."
