The third anniversary of the war in Ukraine

Add to favourites

THREE YEARS AGO, on 24 February 2022, the country woke up to the sounds of explosions that are still heard today.

Then, as now, signals were heard all over Ukraine air raids, and we could not believe that our land would become the scene of such a terrible struggle.

This day marked the beginning of a new era - an era of struggle, resilience and defiance.

Three years filled with pain, loss, and fear.

Three years ago, the first sounds of a full-scale war took away peace and tranquillity, but not faith in our victory.

Three years ago, when missiles were flying at all our cities, we did not break or fall.

Yes, we are used to anxiety, we are used to the constant missile threat, we are used to living according to a new schedule - without electricity, without water, without basic conditions.

But we did not submit to the enemy.

We have become stronger, we have become united, we have become a nation that is not afraid of the dark.

Children who were laughing and playing in the streets just a short time ago have been hiding in shelters from danger for three years.

But even in these underground shelters, they sing about their beloved Ukraine, carrying with their childlike voices an unconquerable faith in victory.

And this gives us strength.

We have gone through many trials - destruction, loss of loved ones... but we continue to stand.

Resilient, stronger than ever.

We have not backed down, we have not given up, because we are behind the truth, freedom, and Ukraine.

We are standing because a fire burns in our hearts that no enemy can extinguish.

We are grateful to our defenders, the military, who do not hesitate to protect us, our country and our freedom at the cost of their lives.

Your courage and bravery are our hope and our future.

We remember and we will continue to hold on and fight.

Because we are Ukraine.

Glory to Ukraine!
