On 11 June, Bolgrad hosted a specialised agricultural seminar dedicated to the start of the harvesting campaign. The event brought together leading industry experts, farmers, scientists and agribusiness representatives to discuss the most pressing issues and share their experiences.
At the opening of the event, Mikhail Sharafanenko, Head of the Bolgrad District State Administration, warmly welcomed the participants to the district seminar. He noted that agriculture is a key sector of the district's economy.
According to Svetlana Verbanova, Head of the Economics and Agro-Industrial Development Department of the Bolgrad District State Administration, the total area to be harvested for early grains, legumes, oilseeds (rape) and spring crops in 2024 is 173.23 thousand hectares, including:
winter crops - 101.8 thou hectares;
spring crops - 54.92 thousand hectares;
winter rape - 16.5 thou hectares.
One of the most interesting moments of the seminar was a presentation by Alla STOYANOVA, an expert in the agricultural sector and head of the Agrarian Odesa Oblast Council's deputy group.
"The start of the Harvest 2024 is the time when our efforts and efforts invested in the land throughout the year bear fruit. Our labour, dedication and love for the land are manifested in every ear of grain and every plant that gives us a bountiful harvest.
Agriculture has always been and remains the backbone of our economy and our well-being.
You, agrarians, are the true heroes of our time, ensuring the country's food security through your daily work.
Your patriotism, hard work and dedication inspire admiration and deep respect. You work from dawn to dusk, in summer and winter, regardless of the weather conditions, preserving the best traditions of our ancestors and introducing modern technologies to develop our agricultural sector. I believe that thanks to your dedication and professionalism, our region will continue to be a model for other regions," said Alla STOYANOVA.
Her report attracted special attention of the audience due to its depth and practicality.
Alla Stoyanova provided a number of useful tips, the so-called "chips", on the development of the agricultural sector, which will certainly have a significant impact on improving the efficiency of farmers.
She spoke about modern harvesting technologies, optimising resource use and the importance of introducing innovations in agriculture.
Oleg Kibel, Head of the Bolgrad Department of the 17th Border Guard Detachment named after Colonel Alexander Zhukovsky, briefed the participants on the rules of staying in the border area and during curfew.
The seminar in Bolhradsky district was a vivid example of people coming together to share knowledge and implement innovations for a common goal: to harvest.
