BUDGET SUPPORT: MONEY FOR THE AGRICULTURAL SECTOR

Add to favourites

The start of accepting applications for three areas of budget support for agricultural producers has been announced:

  • - budget subsidy per 1 hectare of cultivated land;
  • - budgetary subsidies for cows;
  • budgetary subsidies for keeping goats and/or sheep.

This initiative is aimed at supporting and developing the country's agricultural sector, in particular small and medium-sized farms.

On 25 June 2024, the State Agrarian Register will start accepting applications for a separate budget subsidy of UAH 4,000 per hectare of cultivated agricultural land. This subsidy will be provided to agricultural producers who own and/or use up to 120 hectares of agricultural land. This programme is an important step in supporting small and medium-sized farmers, who are the backbone of Ukraine's agricultural sector. Please note that the first applications can be submitted as early as 10 a.m. on 25 June.

On 27 June, at 10 a.m., the State Agrarian Register will start accepting applications for special budget subsidies for cows, goats and/or sheep:
- Farmers with 3 to 100 cows will be able to receive UAH 7,000. The payment is calculated for each head;
- UAH 2,000 is to be paid to farmers who keep 5 to 500 breeding goats and/or sheep.

"The agrarian front is a strategic line of defence for the country that needs support and attention. The announcement of the call for applications for budget support is evidence of the government's efforts to support and develop the agricultural sector. Farmers who are eligible for the programme can take advantage of this opportunity to improve their farms and make a significant contribution to the country's economy. I would like to draw your attention to the fact that if you register applications with the State Agency for Agrarian Policy for the amount that corresponds to the approved budget amount, the application process will be terminated, so it is important to submit your documents in time," Alla Stoyanova emphasises.
