🔴WHEN SCIENCE BECOMES POWER: A NEW ERA OF PARTNERSHIP FOR REVIVAL IS BORN AT ODESA STATE AGRARIAN UNIVERSITY!

Add to favourites

On 22 May 2025, Odesa State Agrarian University hosted the Applied Science to Business Roundtable, which brought together representatives of the academic community, business environment, government and NGOs on one platform. The event was held in a mixed format and became an important event for everyone who believes in the synergy of science and production as the basis for economic growth in Ukraine's agricultural sector.

Science should serve practice.
Tetiana Neboga, Vice-Rector of Odesa State Agrarian University, welcomed the participants:
"Today we are opening a new page of applied scientific dialogue. Our university has a lot to offer to business: from unique developments in soil science and irrigation to digital solutions for managing agricultural processes. We believe in partnerships that transform challenges into opportunities and knowledge into real business profits. This is the future of Ukrainian agriculture."

🔥Innovations waiting to be implemented
During the roundtable, the university's scientific developments were presented, in particular:

✔️ biological solutions for plant protection,
✔️ the latest approaches to the efficient use of water resources,
✔️ projects on the digitalisation of agricultural production,
✔️ adaptive nutrition systems and agroecological innovations.

Tetyana Neboha, Vice-Rector for Research and International Relations at OSAU, said:

💬"The conference has once again confirmed that the main task of today is to build an effective bridge between education and business. It is this synergy that opens up new horizons for the development of both the economy and human potential. The first feedback from the business community shows that such a dialogue is extremely timely. Business needs young, ambitious, competent specialists, and the university is ready not only to provide thorough knowledge but also to take on the function of training personnel at the request of a particular company. We are open to cooperation: the university is ready to fulfil specialised orders, involve students in real production tasks, and provide high-quality practical training. This is a chance for businesses to educate their specialists "for themselves" - taking into account the specifics, culture and values of a particular company. In times of war, when challenges are growing every day, education is a stronghold for business. It is impossible to move forward without knowledge, without trained personnel, without an intellectual foundation. Only together, in constant cooperation, can we ensure the country's sustainable development by nurturing a new generation of leaders, innovators and change makers," says Tetiana Neboga.

Alla Stoyanova, economist, agricultural policy expert, deputy of the Odesa Regional Council, shared her opinion:
"What we have seen and discussed today at the Agrarian University is not just a demonstration of the potential of science - it is concrete tools for transforming agricultural production. It is applied science that can bring the countryside back to life, provide farmers with modern tools to conserve resources, generate stable profits and improve product quality. I believe that many joint projects will be born after this roundtable."

📄What's next?

Following the discussion, the participants came to important conclusions:
✔️, it is necessary to formalise a permanent platform for dialogue between scientists and agribusiness;
✔️ to create pilot projects for the implementation of university developments on the basis of farms;
✔️ to expand the practical component in students' education by participating in real-life production cases;
✔️ to facilitate the attraction of grants and state funds for the implementation of innovative ideas.

🌾The university is a bridge between theory and practice.

Odesa State Agrarian University will continue to be a reliable partner for agribusiness, creating the conditions for innovative breakthroughs that Ukraine needs today more than ever.

The Applied Science to Business roundtable was not just a meeting - it was an open conversation that gives rise to real projects. It was the energy of action, professionalism and faith in the power of partnership. Agrarian science comes to life when its voice is heard by business - and today this voice sounded loud and confident!

Together - to Ukraine's agricultural breakthrough!

We thank everyone who was with us today, because the future is shaped by such events!
