🐟🇺🇦СТАЛИЙ DEVELOPMENT OF AQUACULTURE: STATE SUPPORT FOR FISHERIES IS A BIG STEP INTO THE FUTURE!

Add to favourites

🔍 The Government of Ukraine has taken another step towards the sustainable development of the fishing industry by approving a Resolution on the use of funds for the restoration of aquatic bioresources and aquaculture. This is a systemic model of water resources management, where every hryvnia received from electronic auctions is returned in the form of new life in the country's water bodies.

🔱The need to introduce such a mechanism was first raised at a committee hearing in Izmail. You can read here at the link

🔹 WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?

📌 Business ↔️ recovery connection:
For the first time, the funds the state receives from the sale of the right to special use of aquatic bioresources will be automatically used to stock water bodies. This creates a vicious cycle: resources → profit → reinvestment → restoration.

📌 Official funding:
Budget programme "Measures for the introduction of aquatic bioresources into fishery water bodies (parts thereof)" - a new financing instrument already envisaged in the State Budget 2025. This means support not on paper, but in reality!

📌 Specific performers:
The State Agency for Land Reclamation, Fisheries and Food Programmes is responsible for the programme. Coordination and transparency are key to efficiency!

🔹 WHAT WILL IT DO?

✅ Support for Ukrainian producers:
The development of aquaculture, especially the cultivation of fish stock, will get a new lease of life. This is a direct impetus for farmers, businesses and farms.

✅ Increase in fish productivity:
Restoring fish stocks will help increase the economic efficiency of water bodies and improve the ecological state of the regions.

✅ Biodiversity conservation:
The introduction of the species will help maintain ecosystem balance in many fisheries in Ukraine.

💙💛Ukraine has made a bet on sustainable development of the fishing industry. This mechanism is not just about fish 🐠, it is about economics, nature and responsibility. If we maintain the pace and transparency, we will get a new impetus for the development of aquaculture, additional jobs, a safe environment and healthy products for Ukrainians.

📌 RECOMMENDATIONS:
1️⃣ Businesses can apply for participation in the programme.
2️⃣ Entrepreneurs should invest in aquaculture.
3️⃣ Communities should support local stocking initiatives.
4️⃣ Everyone - follow the transparent distribution of funds!
