DEVELOPMENT OF THE AGRICULTURAL SECTOR OF ODESA REGION: WORKING TOGETHER FOR THE FUTURE

Add to favourites

On 20 January 2025, an important meeting aimed at developing the region's agricultural sector took place in Odesa region. The event was initiated by the Agricultural Credit Guarantee Fund with the support of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, as well as technical support from the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the World Bank. The meeting brought together farmers, representatives of regional authorities, industry associations and unions, creating a platform for sharing experiences and developing new opportunities for agribusiness.

The Partial Loan Guarantee Fund is actively implementing an outreach campaign in the regions of Ukraine, presenting programmes that can help farmers obtain financing and implement their own projects. In particular, under the initiative "Plan Business Growth with the Fund", farmers have access to new opportunities to expand and modernise their farms.

As of today Odesa region is a leader among Ukrainian regions in terms of the amount of funds received through the Fund's programmes. This demonstrates the high level of confidence of local farmers in the support tools offered by the Fund, as well as the significant potential of agriculture in the Odesa region.

Key criteria for obtaining a loan

In order to take advantage of the financial opportunities offered by the Fund, it is important to meet several key success criteria:

1. Transparency of activities: There should be clear financial planning and documentation.

2. Innovative approaches: Projects that contribute to the development and modernisation of production have a high chance of being supported.

3. Responsibility to the team and society: Meeting environmental and social standards.

These criteria provide a solid foundation for agricultural development, as they not only provide farmers with money, but also stability and reliability.

*Success comes to those who are not afraid of change and invest in their future. Use the opportunities for development and growth, not waiting for the perfect moment, but creating it with your own hands.

"The meetings we hold together with the Fund are not only a chance for farmers to gain new knowledge, but also an opportunity to use real financing instruments for business development. The Fund provides unique opportunities for farmers who want to modernise their farms and expand production," says Volodymyr Geraimovych, leading expert at AgriAnalytics.

"Teamwork is a real strength. We are united in our desire to contribute to the development of the agricultural sector in Odesa region by providing farmers not only with financial resources, but also with the necessary knowledge and support. We highly appreciate the cooperation with the Fund and the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine. Together with our partners, we contribute to the development of the agricultural sector, ensuring sustainability and long-term results for Ukrainian farmers. Our common path to growth is a story about people who are ready to invest their efforts in the development of their native land," said Alla Stoyanova, a leading expert on agricultural policy.

In these difficult times, when the agricultural sector faces numerous challenges, it is important not to forget about the power of unity and joint work. The meetings held in Odesa region are a vivid example of how a team of like-minded people can overcome difficulties and create new opportunities for development.

Every farmer has a chance to grow, and the country has the potential to create a strong agricultural economy for generations to come.
